Terms of Service

We've written these Terms in plain English. They're still legally binding, but at least you'll know what you're agreeing to. By using VidiVeni, you're accepting them. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

What VidiVeni is

VidiVeni is a platform for building AI-powered city trip guides delivered as offline-ready web apps. Registered users (travel businesses, beta participants) create guides and share them with travelers via a private link. The traveler installs the guide to their phone — no app store, no account required on their end.

VidiVeni is a trading name of Venema Consulting & Innovatie (KVK 42066462, VAT ID NL005472154B12), a company registered in the Netherlands. That company is your counterparty under these terms.

Your account

Sign up with accurate information. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. If something looks wrong, tell us at support@vidiveni.app right away.

What you can and can't do

VidiVeni is for building real travel guides for real travelers. You agree not to:

• Use the platform for anything illegal
• Try to access other users' accounts or reverse-engineer the software
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written consent
• Run automated scripts against the platform outside of any documented API
• Generate guide content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or harmful

AI-generated content

Guides are built with AI. We work hard to make them accurate and useful, but AI can be wrong — venues close, opening hours change, details drift. Review your guide before sharing it with travelers. We don't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any generated content, and we're not liable for decisions travelers make based on it.

Your content, our software

You keep ownership of your account data and any custom content you add to your guides. The platform, its software, and its design belong to VidiVeni and are protected by intellectual property law. AI-generated guide content is licensed to you for use within the service.

Guide links and delivery

Every guide gets a unique, private link. By default, links expire one week after the trip end date (or after one year if no end date is set). You can revoke a link at any time from your dashboard. Once a traveler installs the guide as a PWA, it lives on their device and keeps working offline regardless of what happens to the link.

Billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis as described on the Pricing page. Fees are non-refundable unless we say otherwise. If pricing changes, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice. Continuing to use the service after a price change means you accept the new price.

Suspension and cancellation

We can suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms. You can cancel whenever you want from the dashboard — no hoops, no penalty. After cancellation your guide data is kept for 90 days and then permanently deleted by our automated retention sweep, on the same window our Privacy & Cookie Policy sets out. Travelers' installed guides keep working until their link naturally expires.

Our liability

We're a small team providing a good-faith service. To the extent the law permits, VidiVeni isn't liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you won't exceed what you've paid us in the 12 months before any claim arises.

The service is provided as-is. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free — we work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee it.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of the Netherlands.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We'll let registered users know about meaningful changes by email or through the dashboard before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the change.
